⚠ How do I spot a scam?

Bizik will never ask you for:

  • your password;
  • your Bizik PIN;
  • your Mobile Money PIN — that is only ever entered on your own handset, with your provider;
  • a one-time code we sent you.

Anyone who asks for any of those is a criminal. No exceptions, no matter what they know about you or how official they sound.

Other warning signs:

  • Someone rushing you. Urgency is the oldest trick there is.
  • Someone asking you to pay outside Bizik — “to save the fee”, “my Bizik is not working”. They are trying to get you away from escrow. That is the fee doing its job.
  • Someone sending you a screenshot of a “payment” instead of you seeing the money in your own wallet. Check your own balance. Screenshots are trivial to fake.
  • A price far below the market. It is bait.
  • An “overpayment” and a request to send the difference back. Classic fraud; the original payment will be reversed.

If you are unsure, ask support before you act.
